Root Canal Treatment

Following the procedure, our Lakewood Ranch-based dentist will reinforce the tooth with a dental crown. In certain circumstances, medication may be applied to the roots before the crown is fitted.

Scaling and Root Planing

Dr. Martins uses root scaling and planing as a non-surgical approach that addresses periodontal disease and gingivitis. This technique involves removing plaque and tartar from beneath the gums to assist in the healing process.

Scaling involves removing the buildup of plaque and tartar, while root planing entails smoothing the tooth roots to aid in gum reattachment and self-healing.

To alleviate the pain caused by TMJ or temporomandibular joint disorder, Paradise Dental creates custom-made night guards for patients.

Many patients may not realize that their jaw or ear pain is connected to their jaw joints. Our mouth guards are crafted from high-quality, human-grade acrylic and worn during sleep to prevent bruxism, clenching, and grinding.

TMJ Treatment

Your TMJ or temporomandibular joint is what connects your upper to lower jaw. It is also what connects your skull to your jawbone. If your TMJ is out of alignment it will affect the way your teeth come together.

TMJD, temporomandibular joint disorder, can happen to anyone but is common in those with arthritis, or injury. Genetics can sometimes play a part as well.
